A vehicle is the second largest purchase most people will make in their lifetimes. However, looks aren’t everything. To make the best decision, you must sit behind the steering wheel, feel how it turns, and how it accelerates. During the test drive, you can learn whether the vehicle’s attributes are best suited to your priorities. Whether you want a comfortable sedan for your work commute or sporty performance, you’ll only know by taking a test drive. You should always test-drive a vehicle, no matter how little time you have.

How to Make the Most of Your Test Drive

When buying a vehicle, it’s a good practice to test drive at least a few. While some dealerships may discourage you from doing so and push you toward making a quick decision, Woody Folsom Automotive utilizes a no-pressure sales process built around your needs. This means we will answer your questions and provide unbiased suggestions based on your and your needs. In addition, use the following tips to make the most of your test drive:

1. Browse vehicles online before visiting the dealership. Make a list of the cars that interest you and plan to take those on a test drive for closer inspection.
2. Don’t waste time on vehicles you’re not interested in. At Woody Folsom GMC, we will only show you the vehicles that will meet your needs. We often have a car in mind that may have just arrived and will let you know.
3. Make sure you take the time to learn about the vehicle’s technology during the test drive. This can be a huge factor in determining whether a car is right for you.
4. Bring your “stuff.” If you regularly travel with car seats, golf bags, or gear, bringing them along is essential to see how they fit.
